"LITTLE DIEN BIEN SOLDIERS" FESTIVAL AT VAN BAO PRIMARY SCHOOL

In implementing the Youth Union's work program and the children's movement in Hanoi for the 2023-2024 school year, leading up to the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory, with the agreement of the District Youth Union, the District Children's Council, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Dong District, the Van Bao Primary School's Youth Union solemnly organized a model Dien Bien Phu Little Soldiers Festival to remind the children of the heroic and indomitable traditions of the Vietnamese nation...

   The 2023-2024 school year is of special significance for the children of Ha Dong in particular, and for the children of Hanoi and the whole country in general. They are striving to excel in their studies and training to achieve accomplishments in celebration of the 83rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization and looking forward to the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi, and the 120th anniversary of the founding of Ha Dong.
          In implementing the Youth Union's work program and the children's movement in Hanoi for the 2023-2024 school year, leading up to the 70th anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory, with the agreement of the District Youth Union, the District Children's Council, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Dong District, the Van Bao Primary School's Youth Union solemnly organized a model "Little Dien Bien Phu Soldiers Festival" to remind children of the heroic and indomitable traditions of the Vietnamese nation, especially the historic Dien Bien Phu victory, "renowned throughout the world and shaking the earth"; and at the same time, to honor and reward outstanding collectives and exemplary individuals in the movement to become Little Dien Bien Phu Soldiers.

Attending the program were Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha – Deputy Secretary of the Ha Dong District Youth Union, Ms. Vo Thi Lieu and Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ly, specialists from the Ha Dong District Education and Training Department, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu – Vice Chairman of the Van Phuc Ward People's Committee; the management staff and teachers in charge of student affairs from more than 40 primary schools in Ha Dong district, the Standing Committee of the Parents' Association, and all the staff, teachers, and students of Van Bao Primary School.

       Through theatrical performances, the students demonstrated their understanding of the nation's history of resistance against the French, the immense significance of the Dien Bien Phu victory; and the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and other exemplary heroes in the Dien Bien Phu campaign.
With its flexible and diverse organizational format, the Festival ensures widespread dissemination of information and profound education among children, organized in a lively, engaging, and beneficial manner from class level, troop level to troop level, ensuring the participation of 1001 troop members and students.
   Within the framework of the Festival, the Ha Dong District Youth Council commended and rewarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing model projects at the Van Bao Primary School's Youth Union..
 In recent days, in response to the 7-week intensive emulation campaign to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory, students have participated in many activities through troop and children's group meetings with themes linked to the campaign "One beautiful story, one good book, one shining example each week," with the hope that each member of the youth and children of Hanoi will continue to uphold the spirit of "Little Dien Bien Phu soldiers," striving to emulate the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho, to be worthy of being good children, good students, good troop members, and good grandchildren of Uncle Ho.
